Koalas Always Prefer Eucalyptus Leaves from the Tree top

It is very common and essential for the Koalas to prefer the eucalyptus leaves that are at the top of the tree. There is a very strategic reason behind Koalas this preference for eating the eucalyptus leaves because only eating those leaves can help the Koalas to be more healthy and even make a survival. The leaves at the top of the Eucalyptus trees are full of energy for the Koalas. They offer more caloric power to the Koalas. Moreover, they offer more and sufficient nutrition to the Koalas as compared to the eucalyptus leaves which are at the center, middle or bottom of the Eucalyptus trees.

If the Koalas will consume the Eucalyptus leaves from the middle or bottom, these leaves will offer very less source of nutrition and that will also mean a relatively lesser degrees of protein sources as well. Therefore, a Koala may not survive on these leaves and it therefore, has to climb to the top of the tree.

It is commonly noted that Koala reaches exactly at the top of the tree, thereby getting the maximum chances to consume the fresh eucalyptus leaves, thereby maintaining the maximum energy levels within its body. Even though it is risky to go that much higher, but Koalas rarely fall or get injured within the process as their claws are very strong and specifically help the Koalas to maintain a very firm grip. Therefore, top of the tree is no more a danger but rather it is an adventure and a matter of survival for the Koalas. However, being at the top of the tree also invites other ferocious predators as well the biggest of which includes Eagles.
