Koalas' Territories and Ranges within Australia's Queensland Areas
Queensland Australia offers a very nice habitat for the Koalas to form their natural territories and ranges in the wild. However, Koalas territories and ranges in Queensland are relatively huge and bigger when specifically compared with the Victorian territories and ranges of the Koalas. These bigger and huge territories of Koalas which are neither overlapping, prompts a question of why? The answer might be hidden within the living habitat and climate conditions of the Queensland areas of the Australia.
The areas of the Queensland are relatively dry and have few eucalyptus leaves as compared to the Victorian areas of Australia. The population of the Koalas is less here, and the Koalas will have to find food from different trees. As a result of that they make bigger territories and Koalas in the area are more territorial as the competition for the food within the Queensland areas is relatively bigger when compared with the food competition within the Victorian territories. As a result of that the Koalas will have to develop bigger territories and ranges within the areas, to find the food for their survival.
Therefore, it specifically indicates that the territories and ranges of the Koalas within the Queensland area, typically depends upon the food availability. Since there are lesser Eucalyptus leaves within the area, the ranges and territories of the Koalas within the area are bigger. On the other hand, the greater numbers of Eucalyptus leaves within Victorian area, allow the Koalas to have smaller territories and overlapping ranges.
